About The Position

OpenDor Media (ODM), a leading global non-profit company, seeks a dynamic and experienced Head of Content Strategy to lead our diverse and talented content creation teams. This role is pivotal in shaping and implementing creative strategies that align with our organizational mission and values.  As a senior member of our Unpacked team, you will ensure that our content across various media platforms is not only innovative and engaging but also resonates with our educational messaging and brand identity.  

What you’ll do:

  • Strategic Leadership - develop and implement a comprehensive digital media strategy that ensures brand consistency and a strong online presence across platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, podcasts and websites.
  • Team Management - lead, mentor, and inspire a team of content creators, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages high-volume creativity and innovation.
  • Content Alignment - work closely with the head of education and CMO to ensure that all content aligns with our educational objectives and brand tone while maintaining a balance between thought leadership and engaging storytelling.
  • Industry Trend Analysis - stay abreast of digital media trends and pop culture, integrating this knowledge into creative projects to keep our content relevant and cutting-edge.
  • Data-driven Optimization - work closely with our data and metrics team to evaluate platform performance, leveraging data-driven insights for strategy optimization.

Requirements

  • Experience - substantial experience in a content leadership role with a background in production and media. Experience in managing content across diverse platforms like YouTube, Instagram and TikTok is a big plus.
  • Leadership Skill - outstanding managerial abilities with a track record of building and leading high performing teams
  • Strategic Thinker - exceptional strategic and creative thinking skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.

Salary

Our target salary range for this position when based in New York is $160,000 - $180,000. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate's exact location, experience in similar roles, and expertise related to the qualifications.
