New Program Unpacks Antisemitism and Israel in the Classroom

Recognizing the challenges of growing antisemitism and misconceptions about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Unpacked For Educators has launched a new program of workshops and seminars specifically for non-Jewish schools.

The program includes workshops on the following topics:

  • identifying and responding to antisemitism
  • confronting the Holocaust and its contemporary impact
  • addressing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the classroom

The workshops can be conducted in person and/or online.

“We all want schools to be safe places, where young people from many backgrounds can find answers to their questions on identity, race and religion,” says Avi Posen, senior director of Israel education at UED. “This program aims to foster an environment of honest inquiry, and tools to unpack some of today’s most important issues with nuance, so that students can be better-informed citizens of a more peaceful world.”

Program participants also have full access to all UED content, and more. For additional information, please visit https://unpacked.education/professional-development/.
