Help secure the Jewish future

More and more young Jews are increasingly opting out.

Young Jews are more disconnected than ever from their Jewish heritage. Connection with Israel is diminishing in each generation.

But there is one way to help secure the Jewish future, and ensure young Jews opt in.

It is by leveraging the digital universe to inspire exploration of Judaism and Israel in new, positive, and transformative ways. We captivate audiences with the timeless story of Jewish heritage and Israel across platforms worldwide. With over 25 million YouTube video views, 2.6 million social media engagements and 500,000 podcast downloads, we are a voice that is authentic and credible, and therefore trusted. We embrace complexity, and recognize and give voice to multiple perspectives on difficult issues. Our multi-channel platform approach leverages the potential and scale of media, allowing us to reach further than ever before in history.

Join our mission to secure the Jewish future and strengthen young people’s understanding of, and connection to, Israel, Judaism and the Jewish people. Your legacy gift can help us connect today’s generation, and tomorrow’s, and build a strong Jewish future.

Why charitable planned giving?

Charitable gift planning offers you the chance to:

Have a bigger impact on the causes that are most important to you.

Have a bigger impact with a gift that costs you nothing now.

Accomplish your personal goals, meet your retirement goals, and provide for your family.

Reduce or eliminate tax liabilities, generating income for you or your family and preserving wealth for future generations.

Recent US tax code changes contain provisions incentivizing you to plan when, what and how much you donate to charity.  If you’ve recently experienced or are anticipating changes in your personal life or business portfolio, we’d be pleased to partner with you to make sure you benefit from the full array of these incentives.

Gifts from your will

BEQUESTS

Through a provision in your written and executed will, you can make a gift in the form of cash, securities, real estate or personal property. There are many types of bequests to choose from that best fit your needs.

Beneficiary gifts

RETIREMENT ACCOUNTS

Naming OpenDor Media as the beneficiary of a retirement plan (401(k), 403(b), IRA, Keogh, profit-sharing pension plan or other donor-advised funds), can achieve your philanthropic goals and benefit from significant tax savings.

Gifts of stock

APPRECIATED STOCK

When you donate appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares instead of cash, you receive charitable deductions at full, fair market value while reducing capital gains impact.

Charitable IRA rollover

Anyone 70 ½ or older can make a gift directly from an IRA to OpenDor Media.  While there is no charitable deduction for a rollover gift, you do avoid the income tax on the donated portion of your required minimum distribution.

Donor advised funds

BENEFICIARY DESIGNATION AND GRANTS

Designate OpenDor Media as a beneficiary to receive all or a portion of the balance of your donor-advised fund through your fund administrator. You also can make a grant to us at any time from your donor-advised fund.

Life insurance gifts

BENEFICIARY DESIGNATION  AND PAID-UP POLICIES

Name OpenDor Media as the beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy, donate an existing, paid-up life insurance policy no longer needed, or purchase a new life insurance policy and name OpenDor Media as the owner and beneficiary.

Gifts that pay you

CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITY
