Senior Educator

About The Position

OpenDor Media (ODM) is seeking a passionate and experienced Jewish educator to help shape the future of Israel and Jewish education and inspire educators around the globe. As part of our Unpacked for Educators team, you’ll design dynamic curricula, lead teacher trainings, and inspire educators to bring nuance, complexity, and curiosity into the classroom.

The Senior Educator reports to the Vice President for Unpacked for Educators and is a key member of our education team.

This is a remote, full-time position based in the United States.

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

  • Build resources for Unpacked for Educators (UED) videos and podcasts; 
  • Deep engagement with schools including coaching sessions, bi-montly check-ins and curricular development; 
  • Create and build decks for presentations; 
  • Write customized lesson plans and curriculum for schools; 
  • Lead and facilitate webinars on Israel education, Israel and Zionist history, and pedagogy and best practices in Jewish education;
  • Present to schools, conferences and other venues in person with travel required at times; 
  • Manage partnerships with key organizations, responsible for meeting and reporting on all deliverables;
  • Help plan UED tours, conferences, and seminars for educators and students

What You Have:

  • 3–5 years of Jewish educational experience, including classroom teaching
  • Strong writer with experience creating curriculum and educational content
  • Familiarity with curricular models (e.g., UbD, PBL) and our UED platform and approach
  • Deep knowledge of Israel and Jewish identity, with a passion for meaningful impact
  • Confident public speaker, comfortable engaging large audiences
  • Commitment to nuanced, complex approaches to education
  • Experience mentoring or coaching educators
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment

Salary

Our target salary range for this position when based in New York is $90,000 - $98,000 annually. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate's exact location, experience in similar roles, and expertise related to the qualifications.
