OpenDor Media is pleased to announce that The Jewish Story Explained video series is returning for a second season. The first 15-episode season of the popular video series achieved extraordinary reach, with over 785,000 views.
The series is based on “Letters to Auntie Fori” by renowned historian and best-selling author Martin Gilbert. Each episode takes viewers on a whirlwind journey of three thousand years of Jewish history — from its very beginnings to the modern day.
The second season continues from the Talmudic era into the Middle Ages though the modern era. Topics covered include the historic challenges of antisemitism, assimilation, migration and more.
The series is perfect for those who want to know more and dig deeper into the story of the Jewish people. It adds nuance and sheds light on aspects of Jewish history that aren’t typically part of school curricula.
“We are grateful to our partners and supporters who made this ambitious series a reality,” says Noam Weissman. “With major growth in our channel since the series originally launched more than a year ago, we are confident that Season 2 will achieve even greater reach and impact, connecting young Jews with their heritage in language they understand.”
