Unpacked for Educators enters sixth year of collaboration with Jewish educational institutions

The Collaborative, an Unpacked for Educators initiative, is an exclusive community of schools at the forefront of Israel and Jewish education, connected for professional development, networking, and expert support.

Unpacked for Educators (UED) is proud to launch its sixth year of The Collaborative community in partnership with Prizmah Center for Jewish Day Schools, The Pincus Fund for Jewish Education, and UnitED, an initiative of the Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism.

As part of The Collaborative, schools and educators gain access to premium Jewish and Israel educational resources including personalized coaching from the UED team, curriculum consulting, feature-length films, and an online community platform. In just six years, The Collaborative has reached over 130 schools in more than a dozen countries through the Day School and Supplementary School tracks.

The impact of The Collaborative on Jewish education is nothing short of incredible. Over 85% of teachers who have participated in The Collaborative say it has helped increase their confidence in teaching about Israel and the Jewish story and over 87% have noticed their students’ knowledge of Israel has increased as a result of using UED resources in the classroom.

Through The Collaborative, educators have created an understanding community across the religious and political spectrum. They are able to ideate, share advice, and communicate through designated webinars. These webinars feature renowned speakers including Haviv Rettig Gur, Matti Freidman, Einat Wilf, Mohammed Dajani Daoudi, and Yossi Klein Halevi and include topics related to Jewish and Israel education.

The Collaborative is about having systemic impact in the world of Israel Education,” says Avi Posen, Senior Director of Israel Education at Unpacked for Educators. “The Collaborative has created a robust community of diverse educators and has helped “shrink” the Jewish world by creating shared language and opportunities for educators to learn together and from each other. This community has given them the tools and confidence they need to cultivate a deep relationship with Israel and the Jewish story for their students in this unprecedented time.”
