OpenDor Media is proud to announce the launch of Today Unpacked, a new YouTube channel that provides clarity, context and perspective on the breaking news cycle of Israel and Jewish current events.
Hosted by Noam Weissman, OpenDor Media’s executive vice president, the short videos dig deep beyond the rhetoric to break through the noise and reach the real issues behind the headlines. From the contentious debate behind the protests on judicial reform in Israel, to finding the “truth” in George Santos’ conflicting Jewish narratives, no topic is off limits.
The channel launched after months of research, planning and filming, along with a healthy dose of caution. “I am incredibly excited to provide a platform where people can make sense of what is happening,” says Weissman. “But I admit, I’m also a bit nervous! In a world with such conflicting information, partisanship and echo chambers, it’s challenging to get to the heart of the news cycle in an honest and reflective way. But if we don’t try to gain relevant, nuanced insights on our shared identity, Israel and Zionism, we have too much to lose.”
