OpenDor Media is proud to announce the release of a 30-minute educational version of the popular full-length documentary Upheaval: The Journey of Menachem Begin, which it co-produced with Hidden Light Institute.
This version comes complete with the rights to screen the film in an educational setting, an educator’s guide, discussion questions, programming activities and more.
The film is a moving portrayal of the former prime minister’s life, legacy, and his struggle to balance history and heroism and make peace with Israel’s greatest enemy. The nuanced portrait of this often controversial leader helps cement a legacy that has long been misunderstood.
The educational version is reaching thousands of students in the Unpacked for Educators network, inviting them to explore the multi-sided, complicated story of key events in the history of modern Israel and its relationship to its neighbors. The recent ground-breaking peace agreements between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco make this a uniquely appropriate time for students to revisit Begin’s achievements and consider them in a new light.
