Offering educators a number of opportunities to use new Israel-focused content in their classrooms:

New Zionism Revisited curriculum​

exploring the movement’s complex history and achievements.

Global Zionism debate contest

students will present an argument on a hot topic related to Zionism that is still relevant today. They will present their case in either video, podcast or essay for a chance to win tickets to Israel and other prizes

Educators Zionism sweepstakes

educators will share with us how they used of the Zionism curriculum with their students for a chance to win tickets to Israel and other prizes. .

Prizes for each program include round trip tickets to Israel, cash, gift cards and Unpacked merchandise.

Yom Ha’atzmaut Film Festival

a collection of our Yom Ha’atzmaut themed films including Upheaval: The Journey of Menachem Begin, Hummus! The Movie, Beneath the Helmet and Mekonen will be available for screenings.

An ambitious 75 Years, 75 Moments, in Under 75 Seconds video campaign consisting of 75 videos unpacking 75 unique moments from each year of Israel’s founding.

Podcast

Three-part mini series on the Unpacking Israeli History podcast related to Israel’s war for independence.

  1. The Lamed Heh (Convoy of the 35) where convoy members faced a moral dilemma whether or not to kill an innocent Arab shepherd who spotted them on their mission.
  2. Tochnit Dalet (Plan D) and the moral dilemma around plans to expand Jewish-held areas beyond the borders proposed under the United Nations partition plan in 1947.
  3. Exploration of the major decision to create the State of Israel in May 1948.
