As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our operations, optimize our organizational efficiency, and ensure we are well-positioned to scale effectively. The COO will report directly to the CEO.

What You’ll Do:

The COO will take the lead in ensuring operational excellence and enabling our teams to deliver on our mission.

Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee and integrate the functions of Finance, People & Culture, Operations, Project Management, and Data to ensure seamless execution of organizational goals.
  • Streamline communication, processes, and workflows across teams to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
  • Identify and implement systems and tools to improve operational effectiveness and scalability.

Strategic Execution:

  • Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to translate strategic vision into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and implement systems to evaluate the costs, benefits, and impact of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices.

Team Management and Accountability:

  • Lead and mentor the heads of Finance, HR, Project Management, and Data, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and growth.
  • Establish clear goals, monitor progress, and hold teams accountable for delivering results.
  • Address performance issues with fairness and decisiveness, ensuring the organization maintains high standards.

Financial and Resource Oversight:

  • Collaborate with the Finance team to develop and manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Ensure financial sustainability and transparency while maximizing the impact of every dollar spent.

Cultural Stewardship:

Requirements

What You Have:

  • Proven Leadership Experience: A track record of success in senior operational roles, with experience managing cross-functional teams and complex initiatives.
  • Operational Expertise: Strong skills in process optimization, systems thinking, and organizational design, with a focus on efficiency and scalability.
  • Financial Literacy: Strong familiarity with budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation, with the ability to align financial decisions with strategic goals.
  • Exceptional Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire remote teams across time zones.
  • Decisiveness and Accountability: A willingness to make tough decisions, hold teams accountable, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic Mindset: The ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on in execution, serving as a trusted sounding board to the CEO.

Salary

Our target salary range for this position when based in New York is $170,000-190,000 annually. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate's exact location, experience in similar roles, and expertise related to the qualifications.
